Heyyy, it's been some time since my last post and guess what, I built something new again.

Every crypto token has three sources of "information" and they're all conflicted. The project's own site is marketing. CoinMarketCap is a price chart with a paragraph. And if you ask an AI, it'll confidently summarize whatever it scraped, with no sources and no idea what's actually true.

So I built Tokenica. It's an encyclopedia for crypto tokens. Neutral, sourced, and the controversies are not buried at the bottom.

The first draft of every token is compiled automatically from public and primary sources, with every claim cited. Anyone can propose edits, and every change is reviewed against primary sources before it goes live.

The part I care about most is the stuff the other sources won't tell you. Each token gets risk signals: the actual controversies, with sources and a severity. Here's Tether.

Tether risk signals: reserve misrepresentation settlements, treasury theft, depeg events, regulatory investigations

That's not a vibe. Every one of those traces back to a filing or a report.

Then there's on-chain checks, live facts straight from the chain via Jupiter Shield. Can the issuer freeze your tokens? Can they mint more? For USDT the answer to both is yes. Jupiter's own app hides these warnings for "verified" tokens. I show them, because that's the whole point.

You can browse by chain, follow tokens you care about, and the homepage shows what's recently been updated.
